Various hand injuries occur in                                     everyday life, and Dr.
Wilson enjoys managing such problematic cases. The keyword for success is the urgent management, preferably within 6 hours of the trauma. In amputated fingers or hands, they should be put in a plastic bag and covered by ice in a clean container until Dr. Wilson does the reimplantation surgery.

During the surgery, Dr. Wilson spends time and effort in meticulously repairing every single severed structure. He fixes the bone, repairs every single tendon, nerve, and artery carefully to ensure that the function returns to almost normal. Some of these surgeries may take 12 hours or more! After the surgery, the patient starts early physiotherapy to restore function as soon as possible.

Totally Amputated left thumb: Was reimplanted within 4 hours, and function was restored, and patient regained use of his thumb, even in writing.

 Mangled Hand: All damaged structures were carefully repaired, with excellent function in the left hand of this labourer.

Totally Amputated left little finger: Following an accident in the Gym, this little finger was totally avulsed in a 12 year old boy. Dr Wilson reimplanted it within 4 hours, and function was restored, and patient regained use of his little finger. Note the natural appearance 6 weeks after the surgery.

Mangled Thumb: All damaged structures were carefully repaired by plastic reconstruction, with excellent return of function in the thumb of this labourer.

Totally Amputated Right Hand: Was reimplanted by Dr. Wilson and demonstrates excellent viability.

Totally Degloved left thumb with loss of tendons and nerves: It was reconstructed in 2 stages, and excellent function was restored within 6 months. 

 Electric Burn Contracture: Joint was reconstructed and contracture corrected.
